Judge Orders Review of Psaki Email Admitting 'Lying' to Media

A judge has ordered the federal government to hand over emails from Joe Biden's White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki after she allegedly admitted to "lying" to the media in one thread.

The court requested a review of Psaki's communications regarding conversations she had about secret meetings the Obama-Biden administration held with the Islamic Republican of Iran.

The order is a response to a lawsuit from the constitutional liberties organization American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ).

ACLJ contends Obama's State Department deleted an embarrassing admission that the administration lied about its Iran negotiations.

According to the suit, Psaki, then-State Department spokesperson, was caught lying about the meetings during a 2013 press briefing video.

The ruling centers on the email by Psaki, which the ACLJ claims is evidence that she lied during the briefing.

In an exchange about the Obama administration's secret negotiations with Iran, she was asked, "Is it the policy of the State Department, where the preservation or the secrecy of secret negotiations is concerned, to lie in order to achieve that goal?"

Psaki replied: "I think there are times where diplomacy needs privacy in order to progress.

"This is a good example of that".

The Obama-Biden team "intentionally manipulated the public video record" by deleting the incriminating portion.

The administration first claimed it was a "glitch" but later admitted it was done deliberately.

Psaki's email, obtained by the ACLJ, has information relevant to the issue, the organization said.
